Grado RS1

The Grado RS1 stands as one of the most iconic models in Grado’s Reference Series lineup. Hand-assembled in Brooklyn, it combines a traditional open-back design with carefully selected wooden housings to deliver lively, detailed, and highly musical sound reproduction. The headphone features 50 mm X2 dynamic drivers engineered to provide exceptionally fast and accurate sound response. The tuning places particular emphasis on expressive midrange detail and natural vocal presentation. Its open-back on-ear architecture creates a spacious airy soundstage with excellent instrument separation. Bass remains fast and articulate while the detailed treble retains smoothness and musical engagement for comfortable long listening sessions. The wooden housings also contribute to the warm organic sonic character that defines Grado’s Reference Series. This design especially benefits acoustic instruments, jazz recordings, vocals, and high-fidelity analog playback. The headphone preserves Grado’s iconic classic styling with lightweight construction, foam ear cushions, and an adjustable headband for long-term listening comfort. Handcrafted in the United States, the RS1 remains a benchmark reference for audiophiles seeking open-back musical realism.
