The Grado GS3000 represents the pinnacle of the new Classic Series and embodies the latest evolution of Grado’s premium open-back headphones. Hand-assembled in Brooklyn, it combines traditional craftsmanship, premium materials, and new acoustic technologies to deliver expansive, natural, and exceptionally detailed sound reproduction. The headphone features large acoustic housings made from solid cocobolo wood combined with a precision-machined aluminum inner insert. This hybrid structure improves resonance control while preserving a warm, organic, and immersive sonic presentation. Cocobolo contributes depth and harmonic richness while aluminum enhances rigidity and overall acoustic precision. At the center of the GS3000 are the new 52 mm X2 dynamic drivers utilizing a Mylar diaphragm, copper voice coil, and rare-earth magnetic system engineered to improve efficiency, dynamic control, and bass extension. This new platform delivers greater resolution while preserving the lively musical character for which Grado headphones are known. Its open-back circumaural architecture combined with G Cushions creates an exceptionally spacious three-dimensional soundstage with outstanding instrument separation and highly realistic imaging. Bass remains deep and articulate while the rich midrange presentation beautifully highlights vocals and acoustic instruments. The headphone also benefits from the new Signature Gold Headband Assembly featuring engraved aluminum alloy gimbals, stainless steel height rods, and a wider genuine leather headstrap designed to improve comfort and stability during long audiophile listening sessions. Its new Gold cable further improves signal purity and flexibility.
